Fans shared their enthusiastic reactions on Twitter as Netflix dropped Bridgeton’s new season.
Netflix has released the new season of its hit Regency era show with a touch of 21st century glam, Bridgeton. Starring Simon Ashley as Kate Sharma and Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridget, the new season will follow their romance this time around. Fans are celebrating this on Twitter. One fan wrote, “I can not wait to work tomorrow and ignore my responsibilities so I can fully enjoy the #Bridgerton S2.” Another tweet read, “Tomorrow, a gay man and an Indian woman will be at the forefront of a regency era. I can not imagine the obstacles they face.
One fan also shared a refusal not to hate actors who play unpleasant characters. “Reminder: After watching #Bridgerton’s Season 2, you may have complex feelings about Penelope or Edwina, but not Nicola Coughlan & Charithra Chandran’s characters. They’re respected solo actresses after killing this season. Time,” he wrote.
Some fans did not accept the show’s critical reviews. “#Bridgerton s2 is the worst cause, the lack of s * x scenes and a slowborn romance. Season up when you cry in the corner. ”
Based on books by Julia Quinn, season two of the period drama focuses on Lord Anthony Bridgerton, the elder Bridgerton sibling, played by Jonathan Bailey, who is looking for a wife.
His focus turns to Edwina Sharma, the debutante played by Charitra Chandran, a newcomer from India with her family. However, his older sister Kate (Simon Ashley) was not impressed by Anthony’s pragmatic, unloving attitude in the wedding market, setting the two on a course of conflict.
