Sham started his career as a stunt actor in the late 70s, mostly under Veeru Devgan, who was already an action director. Sham recalls how Veer took himself under his wing in those days.

Speaking to Edims, Sham said, “I have been working with Ajay Devgan since I entered the film industry as a stunt man. I have been working with his father Veeru Devgan Ji. I think Ajay must have studied 4th or 5th grade. I do not know. To be honest, I worked with him as an assistant. “

In fact, there were times when Sham was out of work and it got to a point where he was wandering the streets hungry. Then Veeru Devgan also helped him. “When Veeru G died, I was filming in Kochi. I remember the days when we were together, especially when I was walking hungry in the streets, he took me to his house and fed me,” Sham recalled.
