Through Moon Night, Marvel completes the darkness and bitterness; And it is time to take DC notes | Internet series

The words ‘dark and glorious’ are strongly associated with the images of the DC Extended Universe. And those are not the flashbacks I welcome. So, after watching the pilot episode of Marvel’s new series Moon Night, I was refreshed that someone outside of DC had turned to the dark side and made it better for a change. The Disney + series succeeds where countless DCEU films have failed – depicting the dark, tortured hero and his struggles on screen. read more: Moon Night Trailer: Oscar Isaac Embraces Confusion, Marvel Full Psycho-Thriller, Fans Can’t Wait ‘

For years, Marvel has been associated with a lighter process. The fate of the world may be in danger but there is still time for shawarmas and dancing. Hell, this is a right to have a raccoon with a sensible tree and a gun. Should not be dark. When Marvel launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2008, many doubted whether it would succeed. But four years after the release of Avengers, most people have realized that this is the future of web owners of interconnected movies.

Create their own universe that is the complete opposite of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So, they went dark and bitter. If Marvel could create blockbusters with hitherto unknown characters like Star Lord and Ant-Man, their sacred trinity of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman – DC certainly hoped to get it out of the park.

Although heavyweight characters like Batman and Superman appear together in films such as Justice League and Dawn of Justice (pictured), DCEU has not been able to bring down Marvel.

But even DC fans admit they could not get it out of the park, even though they had the right attitude. The only DC images that were able to get the dark tone correctly were not part of the DCEU. They are The Joker, The Batman and Sock Snyder’s Justice League. But the expanded universe needs a serious rethinking of exactly how to get that dark tone. Although borrowed from some popular stories with iconic characters, they could not get the right fit. Well, all they have to do is look at Marvel now.

Moon Night has just been screened. So far we have only seen one episode. So we do not progress beyond ourselves. This is a promising start, but in later chapters it may all fall apart. Ana Moon Night is good so let’s hope it doesn’t happen. The title character – played by Oscar Isaac – is one of the most obscure superheroes in the Marvel lineup. The show is dark, it talks about mental health and the Egyptian gods, and has a vibe to it. It’s all about being ‘un-marvel’ as much as possible. This is a welcome change.

This is not the first time Marvel has flirted with darkness. First, they outsourced it to Netflix. Fans will remember the amazing Marvel Netflix shows from Daredevil to Defenders. Jessica Jones deals with the tricky issue of consent, Daredevil talks about morality, and Luke Cage explores Harlem’s racial dynamics. Then there was Punisher, one of the most brutal and brutal superheroes out there. But those shows are not part of the MCU, they may be now (the answer is not clear). What if Marvel tried to go dark again …? Zombies and the ubiquitous Ultron, but critics say this is just animation.

Daredevil Marvel is a rare dark project starring Charlie Cox but the Netflix show is not part of the MCU.

But, now everything has come together. Between Moon Night and the upcoming Dr. Strange at Multiverses of Madness, the MCU embraces darkness. DC has been one step behind Marvel for the past decade and a half. When Marvel first introduced their universe, they first did a multi-hero team-up. They even came to Multiverses first. DC’s upcoming movie Flash will star several actors as Batman. But Spider-Man: No Way Home already did it last year, so beautiful. So, Marvel now looks like hell to catch the darkness of DC’s trademark.

DC really needs to get up and sit down and watch. They have already lost the war. But now they are in danger of becoming obsolete. Because if Marvel complements every genre of superhero storytelling under its broad umbrella, it will not be left to fans to conquer DC’s Holy Trinity.

Moon Night premiered in India on Wednesday, March 30 on Disney + Hotstar. Subsequent episodes will be streamed weekly on Wednesday afternoons.
