Sushmita Sen says she did not get roles in Bollywood due to her reluctance on networking: ‘I was never good’ | Bollywood

Sushmita Sen has advanced from beauty pageant to actor. The actor continued his successful career in films, winning critical acclaim and audience love. But after working on films for more than a decade, he took a break of almost ten years. After that, Sushmita returned to acting through the web series, not the films. Speaking about this in a recent conversation, the actor said that it was because the main Bollywood was not giving him the roles he wanted. Dulha Mil Gaya, a 2010 comedy film, is Sushmita’s last appearance in a special appearance with Shah Rukh Khan. In 2020, he started acting again with Disney + Hotstar web series Arya. In the meantime, the actor said he has made it a priority to raise his two daughters, Renee and Alyssa.

In a conversation with film critic Sushrita Tiyagi for a video chat on the Facebook page of the Critics’ Choice Short and Series Awards, Sushmita said, “I think the 10-year gap lined up priorities. It told me what to do, what to do. Mainstream cinema didn’t give me much of what I wanted in it. My age and screen age and the presumption that I have not worked for ten years. “

The actor added that he also missed opportunities due to his own disability and reluctance to internet with people. She said, “I do not know what mood I was in or I could not have put myself out there. I’m never been good at it. I’m not good at networking. It just did not work for me.” Sushmita is currently starring in the film Arya. Two seasons of the show have aired and a third is in production.
