Actress Sharmila Tagore and her late husband-cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan laughed as they sang the late singer Kishore Kumar Roop Dera Mastana in the throwback video. Sharmila’s daughter Sabah Ali Khan shared the video on Instagram. In the video, Sharmila and Mansoor were seated next to each other in the audience during an event. Aradhana (1969) is a romantic drama directed by Shakthi Samantha. Apart from Sharmila and Rajesh Khanna, the film also stars Sujit Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Pahari Sanyal, Anita Kuha, Madan Puri and Farida Jalal.
The film won the Filmfare Best Picture Award at the 17th Filmfare Awards. Originally released in Hindi and translated into Bengali, Aradhana is a two remake – Sivagami’s Selvan (1974) Tamil film and Kannavari Kalalu (1974) Telugu film.
Rajesh and Sharmila have acted together in many films like Safar (1970), Choti Bahu (1971), Malik and Amar Prem (1972), Doc and Raja Rani (1973), Avishkar (1974), and Thiak (1977).
Sharmila married Mansoor in December 1968 and they have three children – Saif Ali Khan, Sabah Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan. He died on September 22, 2011 at the age of 70.
Saif is married to actor Kareena Kapoor and has two sons, Timur Ali Khan and Jahangir Ali Khan. Soha, who is married to actor Kunal Kemmu, has a daughter, Inaya Naumi Kemmu.
