The trailer of the movie Rudra: The Edge of Darkness starring Ajay Devgan in the title role of DCP Rudra Veer Singh has been released on the internet. The soon-to-be-released Disney + Hotstar Show is a remake of the critically acclaimed British series Luther, starring Isha Deol, Rashi Khanna, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Kahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi and Satyadeep Misra in the lead roles.
Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, Rudra is a psychological crime drama in which Ajay plays a famous police officer who catches terrible murderers. However, things are not so interesting to him personally as his marriage with Isha is breaking down. Infidelity is also said to be a factor in the breakdown of their relationship.
Introducing himself in a web series with Rudra, Ajay said in a statement, “The digital streaming world has always fascinated me and I am happy to create my digital acting with a bittersweet character in long form content. And topics like Rudra. What impressed me about that character was his subtle, versatile personality and his grid; This level of Indian entertainment is something that audiences have never seen before. Isha returns with the film Rudra. He last appeared on the big screen in 2015, in the Hindi-Kannada bilingual drama Care of Footpath 2. After that he appeared in two short films. He has previously worked with Ajay in films like Kaal, Yuva and Main Aisa Hi Hoon. “During filming, we’re back to sharing the same screen chemistry we had during the filming of our previous films – and countless pranks!” She said.
