Rocket Boys Trailer: ‘Kalam’ Makes A Hot Cameo In Jim Surpin’s Stunning Series About Baba-Sarabai, Duck For Fans | Internet series


SonyLiv has finally shared the first full trailer of their upcoming series Rocket Boys. The series stars Jim Sarf as the pioneer nuclear physicist, Ishwak Singh as the physicist and astronomer Vikram Sarabhai.

The trailer shows how Vikrama and Homi first met, became friends and guided India to take the first steps towards becoming a nuclear power. There are also cameos of the country’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and everyone’s favorite president ABJ Abdul Kalam.

Fans are eager to see this series which will be released on February 4th. “Of course, I do not know why I’m crying,” one wrote. “We call this an expression of content,” another commented.

Rocket Boys’ first teaser was released on August 15 Independence Day. It featured only two scenes from the show – a party where men and women listen to the speech ‘During Midnight’ on Jawaharlal Nehru Radio; And Baba and Sarabha discuss the future of independent India. The second teaser was released on October 30, the 112th birthday of Dr. Homi J Baba.

Co-produced by filmmaker Nikhil Advani, Roy Kapoor Films and Emmy Entertainment, the show is directed by Abhay Pannu. “Accepting the role of Homi Baba is very special, to some extent our shared Parsi tradition, but mostly he is an interesting, motivated, renaissance man,” Jim said of his role. He is best known for his performances in Padmavat, Made in Heaven and Nirja.

Ishwak became a popular face after being featured on the Amazon Prime Series song locks. Commenting on the Rocket Boys, he said, “We often hear about the biographies of athletes and freedom fighters, but the Rocket Boys’ comment on the lives of science fiction legends in India really caught my attention when I first heard the script.”
