Actress Preity Zinta shared a picture of her latest film tour on social media on Thursday morning, noting that it was her first film ‘almost three years later’. In the accompanying speech, Preeti said that she had seen The Kashmir files and appreciated the cast and director of the film, Vivek Agnihotri. On Twitter, Preity Zinta shared a selfie from outside a theater, where she stands with her mother Nilaprabha Zinta and brother Deepankar Zinta. In the title of the film, Preeti wrote, “After almost 3 years, I am very excited to go to the theater. I watched #TheKashmirFiles & I was shocked to see the movie. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a film where every actor has done a great job. ” Preity Zinta further praised the cast and director of the film in the next tweet in response to the original.

Kashmir files are based on the withdrawal of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in 1990, following the development of insurgency and militancy in the region. The film was acclaimed by critics and saw a boom in box office receipts with positive word of mouth. When it is opened in a moderate position ⁇3.5 crore, it quickly picked up speed, passed ⁇200 crore in two weeks.
The film was nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, both of whom hailed the film as ‘important’. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Chinmay Manlekar and Pasha Sumbli. Tax exemptions have been announced in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, Haryana and Uttarakhand.
Preity has been out of acting since 2009 and has only acted in occasional cameo roles since then. Actor and husband Jean Gudnoff became parents to twins Jay and Kia in November through a surrogate mother.
