Actor Prabhas’ highly anticipated period love drama Radhe Shyam was released amid high expectations. However, according to trade reports, it failed at the box office. At the end of its theatrical run, the film is said to have grossed ⁇140 crore in all languages worldwide. According to Andhra box office, the leading box office tracking portal, the film has been declared a double disaster. Andhra box office wrote on Twitter: “Radhe Shyam was paralyzed after the 1st weekend at the box office and has not recovered to make an impact. The WW Cross, which covers all languages, ends more or less ⁇About 140 crores is a big double disaster (sic). “
It is noteworthy that the makers of the film said that Radhe Shyam had collected last week. ⁇151 crore in the opening weekend. They released a poster claiming that the film had collected ⁇151 crore, despite the film receiving mixed reception from viewers and critics. Business analyst Ramesh Bala shared the poster released by the producers on his Twitter page.
Produced by UV Creations, the film was released in Hindi and Tamil. Amitabh Bachchan became the narrator for the Hindi version of the film, while the Telugu version had the script by SS Rajamouli.
Meanwhile, Prabhas will soon start work on his upcoming Telugu-Hindi bilingual project Salar. Following the phenomenal success of the KGF film, director Prasanth Neil and Prabhas are teaming up for the first time in Salar, which is believed to be a remake of the Kannada film Ukram.
Shruti Haasan shares screen space with Prabhas for the first time. Prabhas plays the character of Salar in this film which is an action story.
Prabhas has also recently started work with director Knock Aswin on his upcoming multilingual science fiction film Project K. Deepika Padukone is making her Telugu debut with this film produced by Vijayanthi Films.
