Nawazuddin Siddiqui was praised by the fans for his humility watching him travel on the Mumbai local train. The video, shared by a fan on Instagram on Tuesday, showed the actor being on a stage in a Mumbai locality and then sitting on a train. In the video, the actor can be seen wearing a red T-shirt and black track pants, with his face completely covered with a white mask, a hat and a pair of sunglasses. The Instagram user captioned the video, “Nawazuddin Siddiqui sitting opposite me on the Mumbai local train”.
The video has been shared on social media and fans of the actor have been praising him. One wrote “good awareness” and another commented “he is a gem”. A third wrote, “Talent, hard work and humility! #Respect.”
Others said the actor should not have clicked on the camera while traveling. One Instagram user wrote, “He’s only human,” and another said, “Let’s make it normal for them to travel this way.
Meanwhile, others realized that it was the same train journey that Nawazuddin mentioned at the APP Ideas of India event in Mumbai on Saturday. It was revealed that Nawaz was in Kerala in the morning and was filming on Mira Road before the interview and was far away from the venue. To get there on time, he boarded a local train and took a lift from someone. When asked by other passengers how he did without noticing, Nawaz said, “I was wearing a safa and a mask. Ajkal Easy Ho Gaya Hai Mask Ke Waja Se (masks have made it easier these days).”
Following the release of a video of his train journey on Instagram, one fan wrote, “That’s how he came to that interview.” Another wrote, “Yes he confirmed it in an APP interview.” Others admitted it was difficult to identify him in the mask, while one noted that “no one else recognized him”. “Bab ka bai ka badla lene ja rahe hai undercover hoger (he is going to take revenge on his father and brother in disguise)” was mocked by someone referring to his famous line from Gangs of Wassepur 2.
Nawazuddin last starred in Sudhir Mishra’s Serious Men, which began streaming on Netflix in October 2020. She co-stars with Tara Sudaria and Tiger Shroff in Herobandi 2, which is set to release on April 29.
