MS Dhoni fights ghosts as superhero for graphic novel Atharva, fan says ‘you look like Bhagwati’


He has been a player, captain and brand ambassador. But now cricketer MS Dhoni is about to wear the new hat – a warrior. On Wednesday, Dhoni released the first look of his upcoming graphic novel Adarva – The Origin. The project was developed by Virsu Studios in association with MIDAS Deals.

Sharing the motion poster of the science fiction novel on his Facebook page, Dhoni said, “I am happy to release the first look of the new age graphic novel Adarva.” The motion poster makes Dhoni look like a warrior named Adarva fighting with an army of demonic creatures. The graphic novel is written by Ramesh Tamilmani.

Commenting on the project, MS Dhoni said, “I am delighted to be associated with this project and it is truly a wonderful endeavor. Adarva – The Origin is a fascinating graphic novel with an impressive story and exponential artwork. Writer Ramesh Tamilmani’s attempt to publish India’s first legendary superhero with a contemporary twist will bring more and more to every reader.

Editor Ramesh Tamilmani shared, “I am delighted and happy to see MS Dhoni portray Adarva as truly expressive. M.S. Every character and artwork in the novel, including Dhoni’s character, has been created after extensive research and every detail of the world has been carefully crafted.

Fans praised Dhoni for turning into a tough player and showered praise on his record. Actor Ansh Arora wrote, “Captivating.” Another fan wrote, “Looks like a hunk.” Many fans wrote that they are still eagerly waiting to see. “Sir, you look like Bhagwati.” Read a fan comment.

Pre-order for November will start this month and the official release date will be announced soon. In 2020, cricketer’s company Dhoni Entertainment announced the science fiction web series about the “mysterious Agori caught in a high-tech facility”.
