Project K is the first film in which Prabhas and Knock Aswin have teamed up. Aswin wrote: “Dear @anandmahindra sir … We are making an Indian science fiction film #ProjectK with Mr. Bachchan, Prabhas and Deepika. The few vehicles we make for this world are unique and beyond today’s technology. If this film does what it is supposed to do it will be the pride of our nation.

Asking for the support of Anand Mahindra, Ashwin further wrote: “I really appreciate you sir .. we have a talented, all-India team of engineers and designers .. but the size of the project we can use one hand. The film has not been tried yet … it’s an honor to have you help us shape the future. “

In February 2020, the project was officially announced with a special video released on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the film’s makers, Vijayanthi Films.

After joining the set of the film, Amitabh Bachchan wrote on Twitter: “Journey … and the first day of mahurath tomorrow. A new film, a new beginning, a new environment .. ‘new’ never fades .. it grows exponentially (sic) ”

Speaking in detail about the actor’s role, Knock Aswin said, “It was not a guest role or a special appearance … but the full-length character was very important. #Prabhas #DeepikaPadukon (sic), “

Producer Ashwini Dutt says that she is happy to be associated with Amitabh Bachchan. “The late legendary actor starred in Sri NTR, a fan of Sri Amitabh Bachchan and a Telugu remake of some of his superhit Bollywood films. Sri NDR and I have seen many times when the Sholay movie ran at the NDR Ramakrishna Theater for over a year. After all these years, it has been a truly glorious and very satisfying moment for me to welcome Sri Bachchan, the iconic icon of Indian cinema, as part of this prestigious film under our banner, Vijayanthi Movies. The production company, which started its cinema journey with Sri NDR, was named after him, ”said Aswini.
