Kirsten Dunst wants to return as Mary Jane in future Spider-Man films: ‘It’s a brainless thing’ | Hollywood

Kirsten Dunst is the first leading lady in Spider-Man films. The actor starred opposite Toby Maguire as Mary Jane Watson in Sam Rimi’s Spider-Man nearly twenty years ago. Now that Toby has returned to the movies with Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans wondered if Kirsten would do the same.

While it’s not clear to Marvel bosses if he plans to star again in a future MCU movie, Kirsten says they are ready for it.

In a recent conversation with People magazine, when Kirsten was asked if she would like to play Mary Jane on screen again, she replied, “Of course I will. Of course. I was asked a few times about that. That was a big part of my career and life.”

Kirsten explained that she has always been a fan of character and franchise. “Being a part of, being a first person and being a Spider-Man fan is a very wonderful tradition,” he said.

However, he admitted with embarrassment that he had not yet seen Spider-Man: No Way Home. “I know I have to do it. I know Toby is in it. It’s a big surprise and everyone is scared. I will. I’ll see it in the end,” she said.

Spider-Man: Tom Holland as No Way Home Web Slinger, and brings back two other actors who played this role in previous films – Toby and Andrew Garfield. The film was a huge box office success, grossing $ 1.5 billion worldwide and ending up being the most successful film of all time.

Kirsten last starred in the psychological drama The Power of the Dog, which was released last year. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his performance in the film.
