Divyanka Tripathi has accused a Twitter user of ‘copying’ lines from Lata Mangeshkar’s obituary.

Actress Divyanka Tripathi Tahiya has responded on Twitter to a user who accused her of copying her condolence record for singer Lata Mangeshkar. The singer died on Sunday morning at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai following complications related to Govt-19. Lata was admitted 28 days ago and died at the age of 92.

After the death of Lata Mangeshkar, Divyanka Tripathi shared a picture of the singer on Twitter on Sunday. To that post he said, “Today Lataji has left our country empty. Art historians will study your works and your songs will live on for many more centuries. The era of music evolution that you have witnessed in India from before independence till today. It has come to an end today. RIP Susree Lata Mangeshkar G.”

A Twitter user who responded to his post wrote, “Where did you copy these lines from?” Divyanka replied on Monday, “Thank you for pointing out ‘very implicitly’ that I am writing well.

Lata’s body was cremated with full state honors on Sunday evening at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Many celebrities including Javed Akhtar, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ira Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Rahul Vaidya paid homage to the singer.

Dr. Pratibha Samthani of Breach Candy Hospital spoke about the late singer. The news agency ANI quoted him as saying, “Whenever Lata Ji’s health deteriorated, I would have treated her, but this time her health deteriorated day by day. We continued to try but could not save her in the end … I remember her. She smiled for the rest of my life. She had a smile on her face, even in the last moments.

Lata began her career in 1942 at the age of 13. In a career spanning more than seven decades, he has recorded songs for over a thousand Hindi films. He recorded his songs in 36 regional Indian and foreign languages. In 2001, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.

He is the recipient of three National Film Awards and several other awards. Some of his most popular songs are Aayi Mere Vadhan Ke Logan, Aayeka Anewala, Lok Ja Kale.
