With the Ashes Test series coming to an end, Australian cricketer David Warner is free to return to his other love of creating social media content in Telugu films. On Tuesday, David shared a video on his Instagram feed in which he exaggerated his face on Allu Arjun in a clip from the trailer of Pushpa: The Rise.
In Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, David’s face is shown on screen as dancing and fighting. David wrote, “Acting would be so much easier if I became @alluarjunonline.” The cricketer added the hashtags #pushpa #india.
As always, fans loved this page of the cricketer. Inspired by Pushpa’s famous line, a fan wrote, “Davidraj Jukeka Nihi (David Raj will not bow)”.
Others were in favor of David leaving cricket and joining the Indian film industry full time. “Why don’t you leave cricket and join Indian cinema, the right candidate,” one fan commented. Another said he would like to see him in the series Pushpa: The Rule. Read a comment that says “We will mention the director as an alternative to the second part”. “Can you act in Pushpa 2?” Asked another. David replied to the fan, “I do not have the acting skills of @ alluarjunonline.”
David’s love for Indian cinema is nothing new. He started making TikToks and Instagram reels on various Indian films like Bhagwati a few years back. In previous interviews, he praised the IPL team Sunrisers for introducing his time in Hyderabad to Indian cinema, especially Telugu films. At times, his wife Candice and daughters are even featured in his movie videos.

In June last year, the 35-year-old cricketer opened up about the reason behind sharing these funny videos on social media. David told India Today, “We need to think outside. For me, it was about putting a smile on people’s faces. My family and I were able to do that through Dictok, Twitter and Instagram.
