The trailer shows ‘Jat politician’ Abhishek being sent to jail, but he refuses to reduce his status as an ax chief. When he revolts in jail, his wife Bimla Devi (Nimrat Kaur) falls in love with his new chief minister. The story seems to take an interesting turn as IPS officer (Yami Gautam) calls Abhishek Bachchan ‘Anbat Kaur (uneducated)’, which led him to decide to continue his education while he was in jail.

Of the Hindi medium producers, Dasvi is another film that revolves around the importance of film education. Directed by newcomer Tushar Jalota, Taswi is written by Riteish Shah, Suresh Nair and Sandeep Laisal. Poet and former Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas has worked as a screenwriting and dialogue consultant. Taswi is set for a digital release on April 7 on Netflix and Geo Cinema.

The film is produced by Madak Films’ Dinesh Vision in association with Laisal and Shobana Yadav’s Back My Cake Films. Presented by Geo Studios and Maddox Films.

A few hours before the release of the trailer, Abhishek wrote a note about not apologizing for the film. The actor said he was always “very reluctant to talk” about his films and “borderline apology” about his work. “People call it humility or distrust of what I did. I want to change that,” he said.
