Chiranjeevi is currently awaiting the release of Koratala Siva’s Acharya film in which he is said to have played dual roles. The film stars Ram Charan in the lead role. Acharya, according to reports, will be about a social reformer who has become a middle-aged Naxalite who is fighting against the treasury department against the misuse and fraud of temple funds and donations.
The film was originally intended to mark Trisha’s return to Telugu films many years later. However, he withdrew from the project due to creative differences. He was eventually replaced by Kajal Agarwal. The film also stars Pooja Hegde opposite Ram Charan.
Acharya will for the first time share the screen space with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in one of the full-length roles. A few years back, Chiranjeevi played a cameo in the Telugu film Bruce Lee: The Fighter starring Ram Charan.
