Bhuvan Pam apologizes after video released for insulting and insulting women | Internet series

Bhuvan Pam, a YouTuber and actor, has apologized for criticizing the video recently for being anti-women. Last week, Bhuvan posted a questionable video on his YouTube channel. It received a lot of criticism on social media, part of which was criticized by many, where Bhuvan ‘Bahadur’ seemed to ignore women – which refers to women from the hilly areas of the country.

This video – Automatic Vine – has garnered over 12 million views on YouTube. Writer Ashish Naudial has shared a snippet from the video of a character played by Bhuvan asking for an automatic car model for filming. Since he calls a ‘dealer’ to ask for a model, the conversation uses a double entry to indicate that the ‘dealer’ is someone who trafficks women. In one particular line in the video, Bhuvan’s character asks his friend “Bahadun Saleki (a model from the mountains)?” Asks. This led to Bhuvana being criticized by many, and even the National Commission for Women (NCW) tweeted that it had asked the Delhi Police to register an FIR against the comedian.

On Friday night, Bhuvan apologized on Twitter. In his tweet, which he also tagged NCW, Bhuvan wrote, “I know a part of my video has hurt some people. I have edited it to remove that part. Those who know me know that I have a lot of respect for women. I have no intention of hurting anyone. A heartfelt apology to all those who were ignored. The four seconds section referring to Bahadur women has now been removed from the video.

There are still other double jokes about women in the online video, as many critics of the comedian have pointed out. Read a tweet saying “Boy (brother) you deleted a part, but what about other hurtful things”.

On Wednesday, writer and screenwriter Advaita Kala shared a tweet criticizing the video, writing, “This is not a joke – this is the worst misogynistic rubbish that ignores women, especially Bahadur women.” Responding to a Twitter thread on Thursday, the National Commission for Women tweeted that it had written to the Delhi Police Commissioner to take ‘drastic action’ in the matter.

“@NCWIndia has raised awareness. Chairman @sharmarekha has written to @CPDelhi to register an FIR and take drastic action in this regard.

Bhuvan became famous as a YouTube personality through his popular channel BP Ki Wines. She has appeared in the TV series Undergraduate, Dittu Docs and Tindora, and in the short film Plus Minus.
