Actress Ananya Pandey talks about the bond she shared with her father, actor Chunky Pandey late singer Puppy Lahiri. In a new interview, Ananya revealed that she added pride to Chunky for ‘giving her life’ to the late singer. He also paid tribute to the singer.

Puppy Lahiri, 69, died at Criticare Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday night due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea). His family has confirmed his cremation will take place on Thursday.

In an interview with Pingvilla, Ananya said, “We are all fans of his music. We feel that the industry has lost its golden charm. My dad always appreciates that Bobby Da (Bobby Da) gave his life for him because he composed my dad’s best songs like Lal Dupatte Wali or Dudak Dudak. So my dad has very fond memories with him and we will all miss him. But his music will live on forever.

The day before, Chunky had shared several throwback pictures with the hidden singer in his Instagram stories. In the first photo featuring Poppy, Chunky wrote, “Thanks for the music, my dear Dada.” The actor, who shared a black and white photo of the two, wrote, “I will miss you Poppy Da, RIP.”

Sharing another monochromatic picture of the two with Govinda, he wrote, “Your music will live on forever.” Releasing a video montage, Chunky wrote, “My dear Poppy Da, I miss you so much. Your music will live with us forever. Thank you for making all of us so sweet.”

Dr Deepak Namjoshi, director of the hospital where Puppy Lahiri died, was quoted as saying by news agency ANI, “He was admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. He had a number of health problems and died last night of OSA (obstructive sleep apnea). “

Earlier, several celebrities came to Puppy Lahiri’s Mumbai home to pay their last respects. Actress Kajol, her mother Tanuja, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, actor Padmini Kolapure, singers Shaan and Abhijeet Bhattacharya visited the home of the late singer and offered condolences to his family. Composer Lalit Pandit, songwriter Samir Anjab and Sophie Chaudhry also visited Puppy’s family.
